Why this matters
HIV/AIDS remains the second-leading cause of death for ages 10–19 globally, and the leading cause in Africa — a continent that accounts for roughly 70% of people living with HIV worldwide, with 3 in 4 new adolescent infections in 2015 occurring in girls.

What this includes
Health awareness campaigns and medical missions covering primary (health promotion), secondary (screening and early diagnosis) and tertiary (treatment and rehabilitation) prevention.
A “train the trainer” model that sponsors training for local healthcare workers.
Partnering to provide diagnostic equipment — X-ray, CT, MRI and laboratory — for underserved communities.
Annual medical missions to Africa offering screenings, surgical services and capacity building.
Mental health and psychiatric care access — screening, referral partnerships and telepsychiatry — as an expansion of this pillar.

8AM–4PM. Free tests and treatment for upper and lower respiratory infections, UTIs, skin infections, hypertension, diabetes, malaria, typhoid, peptic ulcer, asthma, arthritis and eye problems, plus free contraceptives and family planning counselling.
Themed “Availability, Affordability and Accessibility to Functioning Primary Healthcare System and Diagnostic Radiology.” Guest speaker: Prof. Temitope O. Bello, MBBS, MD, FWACS, FMCR, Consultant and Professor of Radiology, LAUTECH. Includes an Excellence in Healthcare/Medicine Award.

Who leads this work
Chief Medical Officer
Graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and a resident doctor training in public health at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital. Coordinates the partnerships that bring qualified healthcare providers together for awareness campaigns and medical missions across primary, secondary and tertiary prevention.
Founder and Chief Servant Officer
Chief, Healthcare Risk Management and Deputy Chief Quality Officer, Department of Defense Health Agency, National Capital Region; formerly Service Chief, Medical Surgical Unit, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. BSN (Howard University), MBA and MHA (University of Maryland), PhD in Medical Sociology and Social Inequality (Howard University). CPPS, CPHQ.
