Why this matters
Education remains one of the most reliable paths out of poverty. BAF's Education & STEM pillar has run its flagship Annual Quiz Competition for secondary schools since at least 2017, alongside academic excellence awards and scholarship support for high-potential students across Ekiti State, Nigeria.

An annual inter-school quiz competition run in preliminary and final stages across Ekiti State schools.
Academic excellence awards recognising outstanding students and teachers.
Scholarship support for high-potential primary and secondary school students.

2021 preliminary stage held 24 November, final stage 1 December. In 2017 the competing schools were Ekamefa High School (Ilasa Ekiti), Methodist High School (Isinbode Ekiti, 1st place), Victory Academy (Kota Ekiti, 2nd place) and God's Brightest Kiddies' Model College (Omuooke Ekiti, 3rd place).
Awarded to three best primary school students as part of BAF's Annual Symposium.
